Donald Trump and the End of End Times Theology

For the Boomer generation of the church this is not how the End Times was supposed to look like. I know, I am part of the "end time generation". Some preliminary thoughts for the next generation....and the end of End Times Theology

There is a media theme running rampant in the world media. The president of the United States has gone mad. In America the talk is "the 25th Amendment". That is the clause of the Constitution allowing the US cabinet by majority vote decide the president must be removed for mental incapacitation and the Vice President takes over.

In the last year Trump has alienated nations all over the world with his tariff policies regardless of friend and foe. The internal crackdown in the nation with federal agents sent into cites to fight crime and expel illegal aliens have been brutal. The mocking of world leaders and world institutions, the land grabs, the militarization of foreign and domestic policy. And then the twice unprovoked attacks on Iran while in the middle of diplomacy. Threats of national genocide. The indiscriminate bombing of a whole nation's infrastructure killing children, destroying hospitals, bridges, factories, homes, historical sites.

And if that were not enough the crazy tweets on his Truth Social sites attacking close party supporters, mocking the Pope, and suing the most foul language imagineable in his threats to Iran to bomb the nation into the stone age....an intent to commit genocide. And to top it all a self glorification of himself as the Christ figure that is sent into the world to heal.

What is going on here?
For a president who assembled a winning coalition centred on "Make America Great Again and the key to that being "no more foreign wars". All this is inexplicable. The political fallout is brutal for his Republican part in the coming November elections.

In his last term he was termed by his religious evangelical coalition as "Cyrus the Great" the king who released the Jews from bondage to Babylon. Israel commemorated this with a coin Netanyahu made of Trump on one side and Cyrus on the other when Trump moved the US embassy to Jerusalem.

I disagree on the image. The better image is not of king Cyrus bit king Nebuchadnezzar as described in the book of Daniel....

Dan 4:28 All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar.
Dan 4:29 At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon.
Dan 4:30 The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?

Dan 4:32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.
Dan 4:33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds'

Hubris, Narcissism and the mocking of God and faith has terrible consequences!

Here is my take: This is the end of end times theology.

Ever since 1948 and the establishment of the state of Israel there has been a prophetic ferment of "Bible days afe here again". This centred on "this generation" meaning this generation that witnesses this great apocalyptic event is the end times generation that will see all the prophecies fulfilled, the battle of Armageddon, the Antichrist, the Rapture, the Great Tribulation.

This prophetic shock of 1948 resulted in a multitude of volunteers for world missions in the Baptist, evangelical and Pentecostal churches. Great evangelistic crusades in America and around the world, great healing tent revivals. This spread into the Charismatic movement into mainline churches in the 1960's and then into the great 1970's youth movements of hundreds of thousands off to world missions for one great last "end time harvest" before Jesus comes.

And now its 75 years later and "this great end time generation" is dying out with none of the end time prophecies fulfilled in a world unimaginable to the great end time prophetic movements. The same thing happened to the "End time generation" of 1844 that became the 7th Day Adventist Church of the "end times generation of 1914 Jehova's Witnesses.....and you can repeat that throughout 2000 years of church history.

But there is still a strong core of Christian Zionists in churches across America and the world. And that includes here in South Africa. While there is a state of Israel they will cling to the desperate hope that the end is near and Jesus will come any moment.

But what Trump and Israel have done to the Middle East has before not affected the world, but now with the Strait of Hormuz closed and the whole world economy on the brink of a disaster great depression....everyone wants ttoi know what in the world was Trump thinking? What is the cause of this crazy war in which America has no serious vital stakes in Iran, why this senseless war?

And the answers now very visiible to the world came from the public explanations of the inside revelations of Dispensational Theology and Israel.

You know it is serious when the world's largest subscribed podcaster Candace Owen does a special broadcast titled "The Schofield Bible" and explains in depth what Dispensational theology is all about....all this to explain why Donald Trump would threaten his political alliances, his military and trade alliances for the sake of Christian Zionists and Jewish Zionists.

Because whoever blesses Israel God will bless. This is what senator Ted Cruz said to Tucker Carlson, this is what US Ambassador Mike Huckabee said to Tucker Carlson, yes its fine is Israel takes all the land between the Euphrates and the Nile, God gave it to them. So America has redefined the MAGA movement. The way to make America Great Again is to bless Israel. Help Israel achieve God's plan for her great destiny.   Making Israel Great Again is the key to Make America Great Again. All Christian Zionists can now test in real time this central belief - will Donald Trump be blessed politically for standing with Israel? Will America be blessed financially for standing with Israel in this destructive war?

This has caused the great split in the Trump political coalition. Tucker Carlson demands "America First", the Christian Zionists say no, Israel First.

For Christian Zionists the world over this is turning out to be a great "end times" tragedy. Univsersally all over the world it is now beginning to be understood what the theological issue and dimension is to America's crazy war behavior. America is fighting this war against Iran for the sake of Israel to the detriment of America's allies in the Gulf and around the world.

This is geopolitical madness. And it will bring both America and Israel down.

Already no matter how this war ends it is obvious that Israel will not survive this conflict. It will be labeled the "Apartheid State" and treated the same as South Africa in teh 1980's. Boycotts, disinvestment, Jews banned from international travel and sport and academic forums, internal social disintegration, economic collapse.

For America Trump must take a trip to China next month to make a trade deal with China. America desperately needs rare earths to make the armaments supplies they lost in the lost wars of Ukraine and Iran. Trump was hoping to control the Middle East oil supplies that China needs and make a trade - oil for minerals. Now he goes empty handed.

The American bond market is crashing. Money is leaving America. America needs to refinance $10 trillion in the next year. Nobody wants US treasurues.

America and Israel are becoming world pariah states. Christian Dispensational theology is dying. Christian Zionism is dying as a theology. The outcome of this war will finish it.

The next Generation : What Next for 2025-2065
The next generation of 40 years will have to do what every previous generation for the last 2000 years of Church hisiory. "Contend for the faith once delivered to the saints"

The task of generations has always been the same since Abraham and for all his seed.
Build for the Lord His Tabernacle on earth to manifest His presence among the people.

When Moses and the Israelites were in teh wilderness they built a tabernacle according to the image God showed Moses in the heavens. But all they has was some wood and skins and some jewelery, They built with what they had. When it came time for Solomon to build the temple he could use lavish amount of gold, marble, cedars, fabrics and build a temple for the ages of magnificence.

When Jesus came He said "I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it."

For 2000 years each generation had to build the church with the resources they have available for the need of heir times. It looks different through the ages but does the same thing. It is the place where the presence of God is manifested to the world. Whether 10 people gathered in a humble home service or a team of monks building a monastery in the midsts of the Goths and Vandals.....we find a way to move God's agenda forward.

I have thoughts and ideas for the next generation. Lots of resources will be available. Lots of other resources not available.

The tabernacle of God will look different here in Africa than in America or Russia or China. But it will be the same Spirit the same good news and the same family of God.

The coming transition of the end of Dispensational End Times theology and the end of the whole Christian Zionist dream of a Greater Israel will be a traumatic time for the Church.

But it is time to lool forward and plan for what Isaiah prophesied as "restoring the waste places after the coming Great Depression.

It will require new visions of economics based on scriptural foundations. It will mean new ways for the Body of Christ to gather for purpose. It will give rise to new definitions and expressions of Apostolic and prophetic ministry.

In coming blogs I want to give some strategic insights for the next generation of the wonderful opportunities for new resources, now strategies and new expressions for the building of New Jerusalem's to heal the nations.
