Trump, Croesus, Cyrus and Persia (Iran)

There is an interesting historical parallel between Trump, Croesus, Cyrus and Iran (Persia). Which leads me to conclude: it is time to do what Galatians 4:24-26 commands us "Cast out Hagar". Because that is what the world is doing.

Croesus was the last king of Lydia from 585 or 561 BC to 547 BC. He was renowned for his great wealth ("as rich as Croesus"), as well as his ultimate defeat by the Persian king Cyrus the Great following the siege of Sardis. His defeat was legendary in history as recorded by Herodotus (Book 1, chapter 53, History) and gives us insight into Trump's legendry blunder in attacking Iran (Persia)

Croesus was not sure whether he should attack Persia and their king Cyrus.  So he decided to consult the famous prophetic Oracle at Delphi.  The Oracle of Delphi gave him what sounded like a very reassuring prophetic message.
"If you cross the Halys River you will destroy a great empire".

Interpreting this as a guaranteed victory, Croesus attacked Cyrus the Great of Persia. Unfortunately for Croesus, he was defeated, and the great empire that was destroyed turned out to be his own.

There is an echo of this historical military debacle that resonates with today's Persia (Iran) and Donald Trump (the fabulously rich Croesus of today) and Cyrus.

Why would Trump against all advice from his own intelligence services and his military (General Caine) and his own staff (Vance and Rubio) decide to attack Iran with all out war of destruction and not just limited for show strike like last year.

Most of the speculation for such a crazy decision was that he was being blackmailed by Israeli Mossad with Epstein revelations.  There might be another more plausible explanation.  Trump turned to his own "prophetic oracles" among the Charismatic prophetic community through his in house "Oracle" in the West Wing, Paula White and the office of Faith that gives access to select prophetic ministries who have a prophetic word for the President.

These groups had already told Trump that he was God's king Cyrus, miraculously chosen by God to defend Israel for "such a time as this".  Promised him "he who blesses Israel God will bless".  So much so that after he moved the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in 2018 there was great rejoicing and Israel and Netanyahu even made and gave Trump a commemorative half-shekel coin depicting him and king Cyrus on the coin

As below....

So if God is with Israel as His people and God always supported Israel at war here was an opportunity for a great victory with Israel at your side and the Hosts of Heaven along for the fight and great oil wealth of Persia (Iran) to be divided as spoils of victory.

And so the king Cyrus of USA/Israel attacked Persia (Iran) with prophetic blessing....and a great empire fell!  The extent of that strategic defeat I cannot detail in this blog but covered it in the new Kingdom Vision Special Report.

What now for the prophetic Charismatic community.  Because......

The "Greater Israel" vision of "from the river Euphrates to the Nile" is no longer a prophetic or practical reality.  The Israeli State is not as scripture says a blessing to the nations.  It is the most reviled state in the world.  And America and Trump have not been blessed for "standing with Israel". And Israel's Jerusalem is not a light to the nations. Nothing of this fits the current prophetic expectations of the "end times".  Time for prayerful re-assessment.

We Charismatics being a prophetic orientated community are always asking ourselves  when momentous world events take place....."What is the Lord doing?".

For those of you who are willing to consider an alternative fulfilment of prophecy I suggest you read again Galatians 4:24-26.  Why?  Because we are seeing literally what God commanded the Church....

"Throw out the bondwoman, Hagar and her son Ishmael" by which Paul meant earthly Jerusalem.  God has twice in history "cast out the bondwoman Hagar" the eaarthly Jerusalem by destroying Jerusalem and the Temple in 586 BC by the Babylonians and 70 AD by the Romans.

Once again God is "casting out Hagar" the earthly Jerusalem because it has become an object of adoration and jubilation for evangelical Christians even though there are no fruits of the Spirit on that barren olive tree.

"Hagar" is very visibly being cast out in America and around the world. In America 80% of Democrats and 60% of Republicans have a negative view of Israel. Trump told Netanyahu recently shouting at him "The whole world hates you Bibi".  The UN has adopted a majority vote that what Israel has done in Gaza is Genocide. Tucker Carlson is running interviews with people explaining what Dispensational Theology is all about, what the Schofield Bible is to try to make people understand why the evangelical community was so pro-war for Israel.  There is no longer political support from AIPAC that will be accepted across political parties.  There is no economic support for Israel from the coming Democratic party majorities. The Gulf nations reject the Abrahamic Accords. The high skilled tech entrepreneurs are leaving Israel along with non-religious Jews. Israel is fighting seven wars on all fronts and can no longer sustain a war economy.  The nation state of  Israel is dying and with it Christian Zionism as an end time eschatology is dying.

Paul’s discussion in Galatians 4:24-26 tells us that the earthly Jerusalem is “Hagar,” while the Jerusalem that is above is “Sarah.” Those who teach that the earthly Jerusalem is the mother of the chosen ones are advocating for Hagar and her children. If we are to have a clear vision of the Kingdom, we must recognize that the capital of our Kingdom is the New Jerusalem, not the old city.

The earthly Jerusalem was called by the prophets, “the bloody city” (Ezekiel 24:6, 9; Nahum 3:1; Matthew 23:37, 38). In Revelation 11:8, John links Jerusalem with Sodom (for its immorality) and Egypt (for its bondage). Hagar the Egyptian can only produce an Ishmael. Ishmael’s inheritance is Arabia, where Mount Sinai is located (Galatians 4:25). Hence, to claim that the earthly Jerusalem is chosen as the capital (or mother) of the Kingdom is to advocate for Ishmael’s inheritance at Mount Sinai—the Old Covenant.

To advocate for Hagar and her son, Ishmael, is to betray Sarah and her son, Isaac. Yet this is altogether too common in modern church teaching, which, for some odd reason, seems to reject Paul’s clear teaching in Galatians 4.

If we are ever to obtain a clear Kingdom vision, surely, we must know that it will not be based on the Old Covenant (“Hagar”), nor will it be based on the inheritance of Ishmael (Arabia, Mount Sinai). Neither will Jesus return to set up His Kingdom in the earthly Jerusalem, nor on the mount that God forsook “as I did to Shiloh” (Jeremiah 7:14). Just as the glory of God left Shiloh, never to return, so also did God forsake Jerusalem, never to return.

God now indwells a new temple, built upon “the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone” (Ephesians 2:20). Our inheritance, our Birthright is to be “living stones” in that temple (1 Peter 2:5).

So do not look for Christ to come to a physical temple in Jerusalem, nor should you expect Him to call Levitical priests to offer animal sacrifices in that temple, as so many teach today. Those things characterize Old Covenant worship, things which were established at Mount Sinai in the inheritance of Ishmael and his mother, the bondwoman. “The Jerusalem above is free; she is our mother” (Galatians 4:26).

National Judgment upon Israel
Moses told the nation of Israel in Leviticus 26 that if they would be obedient to His laws (as they had sworn to follow in Exodus 19:8), God would bless them (Lev. 26:3). But if they were disobedient, God would bring judgment upon them (Lev. 26:14). If the people were to persist in disobedience to His laws, God vowed to expel them from the land

In fact, God said that He would expel them in the same manner that He had expelled the Canaanites, and for the same reason. Deut. 8:20 says:

Like the nations that the Lord makes to perish before you, so you shall perish; because you would not listen to the voice of the Lord your God.

God stated clearly in Lev. 26:21-24:
If then, you act with hostility against Me and are unwilling to obey Me, I will increase the plague on you seven times according to your sins… And if by these things you are not turned to Me, but act with hostility against Me, then I will act with hostility against you; and I, even I, will strike you seven times for your sins.

Again, God said in Lev. 26:32 & 33:
I will make the land desolate so that your enemies who settle in it will be appalled over it. You, however, I will scatter among the nations and will draw out a sword after you, as your land becomes desolate and your cities become waste.

The solution, of course, is repentance and to agree that God was righteous in His judgments. They would have to cease from their hostility against God and His law, before being allowed to return. Lev. 26:40-42 says:

If they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their forefathers, in their unfaithfulness which they committed against me, and also in their acting with hostility against Me— I also was acting with hostility against them, to bring them into the land of their enemies—or if their uncircumcised heart becomes humbled so that they then make amends for their iniquity, then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and I will remember also My covenant with Isaac, and My covenant with Abraham as well, and I will remember the land.

When Jesus came on the scene, the people had the opportunity to show that they were no longer hostile to God. They were given opportunity to treat the One whom God had sent with respect and to receive Him as the Messiah-King. Had they done so, they would have received the truth, and the truth would have made them free (John 8:32).

Yet they “did not receive Him” (John 1:11), and so they remained under the dominion of Rome.

Later, in trying to set themselves free by force, without first repenting, they only made their situation worse. Rome destroyed Jerusalem and its temple and scattered the Jews throughout many nations. Jesus foretold this in Matthew 24. His parable in Matt. 22:1-14 illustrated how the Jews had rejected His “invitation.” Verse 7 tells us the result of refusing His invitation:

But the king [God] was enraged, and he sent his [Roman] armies and destroyed those murderers and set their city [Jerusalem] on fire.

The city was later rebuilt and exists to this day, awaiting its final destruction according to the prophecy of Jer. 19:10 & 11:

Then you [Jeremiah] are to break the jar in the sight of the men who accompany you and say to them, “Just so will I break this people and this city, even as one breaks a potter’s vessel, which cannot again be repaired…”

Jerusalem was destroyed by the Babylonian army in 586 B.C. and again by the Romans in 70 A.D. But each time, it was “repaired.” Hence, there remains a final fulfillment of this prophecy in the future.....when Jerusalem will be broken so thoroughly that it will not be repaired.

So that the Church can turn its prophetic attention to manifesting the real New Jerusalem as the Temple of God on earth as the real Israel of God through which all the nations of the earth will be blessed. Who do you think are the "my People" of God that will fill the earth with His glory to heal the nations? The Jews of Israel or the Church of Jesus Christ?

The Jews of Israel still completely reject the Lordship of Jesus Christ and vehemently persecute those who try to preach the gospel there.   Their actions in the decimation of Gaza and Lebanon and the West Bank and Syria and the attack on Iran...these are not actions from the will of God nor the character of Christ nor the Jerusalem that must be glorified in all the earth (Isaiah 62:7).

Time to contemplate and pray and seek the Lord as to what are the real signs of the times pointing to and what is the mission of the Church in this new world order..
